Every time I get to know a bit more of what’s going on in this heart of yours, the more I realize how beautifully you fit in C.A. 😄
I keep anticipating, with a smile on my face, the time when you arrive here with your family. And I know that, because now you’re intentionally creating room in your life for the hospitality of the Holy Spirit, when this time comes, just by being yourself you’ll be able to help our cousins here find out that the best “Меҳмон” they’ll ever host wants to dwell and make a home in their hearts.
Thank you letting us reflect together with you on this facet of God's character. 🤍
Priscilla, this warms my heart. I cannot wait for this day too! Praying it comes sooner rather than later, but I hope to grow in the ability to bring the hospitality of his presence everywhere I go in the meantime.
Rachel, I loved all of this. Your heart is so full that I feel seen. I'm grateful for your heart of hospitality and the invitation to be authentically me. I love the space you and Jesus are creating, thank you!!💛
Love these thoughts, Rachel. That' invitation of the Spirit to intimacy and his hospitality are so vital to our faith. For so long I didn't understand this, and I'm so grateful that I'm slowly growing in the experience of communing with God. He so wants us to feel that sense of belonging, for that to be the space from which we live and extend it to others. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Haley! It wasn’t something I understood or lived for so long myself. I still feel like such a beginner, but I’m grateful that he’s revealing this to me and taking me on a journey to deeper intimacy 💛
This spoke to me so deeply, like a mirror held up to my own quiet longings. That line about feeling like a heroine in a fantasy saga? I felt that. So many of us walk around thinking we’re ordinary, not realizing there’s a divine flame flickering inside us, the Holy Spirit patiently waiting for us to remember who we are and Whose we are.
I love how you wove together Scripture, imagination, and that sacred ache for belonging. It reminded me that God isn’t looking for perfect performance but a willing heart. And the idea of building a space of radical hospitality and safe vulnerability it’s beautiful, needed, and honestly rare in today’s world. Thank you for putting this into words. It stirred something holy in me.
"Learn the unforced rhythms of grace." Such a beautiful way to voice what the tender invitation to intimacy looks like to the heart of a child of God! The invitation is open day and night, and all too often, I hate to admit that I'm distracted, busy, or exhausted living in my own strength and need for control, rather than humble trusting submission. Thank you for sharing your heart, your "why," which is communicated so clearly and beautifully in your posts. I needed to read this today!
